Heard in Fredriksfors Oc 30- not much due to antenna problems

My last night at the schack during this October ended with a flop.
My expectations were high. It started also ok; CBC 1 on 1230,005 (wiithout local id though) already at 21 UTC.
But what happened?
During the night the more common west coast and prarie stationens were heard on 317 degrees, although not quite stable. On 255 degrees some peruvian stations were heard long before sunrise and together with some of the more common La Plata and some Brazilian stations not the be identidied (either football or preaching...).
But the most interesting antennas, 285 and 300 degrees? What had  happened? Could propagation suddenly be this bad? Almost nothing at all, besides of some Venezuelan stations. Not even the Cubans except for 1180 and 1620.
I tried, but nothing. Hour after hour.
The answer occured some hours later; Dan Andersson and Rolf Larsson checked the antennas. 285 degrees was broke. 300 degrees was on the ground for quite a length.

Västindien
1330 30.10 0557 Radio Vision Cristiana Santio Domingo överraskade med ett lokalt anrop ”13-30 en la isla...” och Santo Domingo. Gick dessutom som en av mycket få på den avslitna (100  meter ”kvar”) 285-gradaren.  1329,991JE

1320 30.10 0245 Radio Peru Juliaca har jag aldrig hört så rent och fint, trots att jag lyssnade på 255 grader. 1319,946.JE
1360 30.10 0320 Nueva Q FM Lima var den enda som tog sig igenom brummet på frekvensen.
1540 30.10 0250 Radio Corporación Cerro de Pasco kom fram trots att jag egentligen lyssnade på ”fel” antennriktning 255 grader). 1540, 154. JE
